Lone Grove Intermediate houses 345 students’ grades 3 through 5. Our students have the opportunities to participate in Cross Country running, Mileage Club, Show Choir, General/Instrumental Music, Art, Physical Education, Hot Shots and Jump –n- Jive. We have a full-time counselor and a certified librarian on staff.In addition, we have a new intermediate computer lab which is open to our students at all times and 5th graders participate in a keyboarding skills class.Lone Grove Intermediate is also proud to be recognized as a Great Expectations Model School site. Intermediate teachers coordinate monthly Great Expectations Celebration Assemblies in order to honor academic and character achievements of students. Building self-esteem and confidence as well as addressing academic needs are some of our many ambitions. Since teaching each child to their ability is one of our many goals, we have made significant improvements academically with our students.We begin early in the school year preparing them for the challenges that state mandated tests provide, as a result, our Criterion Referenced Test scores have made tremendous gains during the last six years. Our teachers spend countless hours laying the much-needed groundwork on continuing curriculum improvement.Lone Grove Intermediate has an outstanding group of students and educators where excellence is a tradition!
