Bullying Policy

Dear Parent or Guardian,

School safety is and remains a top priority at Lone Grove Public Schools.  The ultimate goal of the school safety planning and policies is the prevention of incidents related to bullying/harassment/violence and the prioritization of safety for the students, staff and the school community as a whole. This involves educating the school community in problem solving and conflict resolution skills, recognizing early warning signs that lead to violence, and identifying factors outside of the school setting that might predispose a child to inappropriate behavior or threaten student’s safety.  When incidents occur, school administrators are positioned to intervene and working collaboratively to change the dynamics of the situation.

On the 12th day of November, 2012, the Lone Grove Board of Education met at a regular meeting.  One of the acts of business at this board meeting was the revision and ultimate adoption of the school district’s policy regarding bullying.  The bullying policy is posted on our school website for your convenience.  A copy of the policy can also be obtained at any district office, or you can contact the Lone Grove Schools Bullying Coordinator, Mrs. Meri Jayne Millter, at Lone Grove Middle School.

Mrs. Miller can be reached by phone at 580-657-3132 or by email.
